Land Rover will demonstrate the latest in a long line of technical firsts at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show withthe announcement of the world's first 9-speed automatic transmission for a passenger car.  The ZF 9HP transmission is specifically designed for transverse applications, and is one of the most efficient and technically advanced transmissions ever used in a production vehicle.

The all-new Range Rover, the world's most refined and capable SUV, has notched up 10 international awards in just three months since production began.

The new state-of-the-art Visitor Centre at Land Rover Solihull saw the first customer hand-over at this brand new facility  today.

Leading entrepreneur Denys Shortt, who was recently awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours List, and his wife Debbie were the first customers to receive two new Range Rovers from the Visitor Centre.

It is the first Jaguar Land Rover facility of its kind and has been developed to offer customers the opportunity to undergo a high-quality bespoke multimedia experience as part of receiving their new Range Rover direct from the factory in a dedicated building that evokes the look and feel of a high-quality boutique hotel.

HRH The Prince of Wales visited Jaguar Land Rover's Halewood operations today as part of a series of visits to support UK manufacturing. His Royal Highness toured the production facility meeting young apprentices and speaking to employees building Land Rover Freelander 2 vehicles.
